Shelby is a post-grad student currently taking courses at Western University, with a strong interest in pursuing a career in psychology. She discovered her passion for healthcare through her volunteer work at Women's College Hospital in downtown Toronto, where she gained hands-on experience in patient care and developed a deep interest in working with children. She hopes to continue exploring the field of psychology, with aspirations to work in mental health and child development in the future. Through her involvement with the YSMENA research program, she looks forward to gaining valuable experience and contributing to research focused on understanding the cultural and social factors that influence mental health, among MENA youth in Canada.
