Shahir El-Falouja

Shahir El-Falouja is a second-year transfer student studying Psychology at Western University, coming from the University of Ottawa’s Bachelor of Health Sciences program. He discovered his passion for health care after volunteering at both a hospital and a nursing home, where he developed a strong interest in patient care and well-being. Shahir hopes to pursue medical school in the future. Through his role with the YSMENA research program, he hopes to strengthen his understanding of how social and cultural factors influence the mental health and resilience of MENA youth in Canada.
