In 2020, she co-founded UNtoxicated (un-tox-i-cated) Queers with her friend Patrick. UQ is a harm-reduction sober support group for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community who are in recovery from addiction, it is part support group and part sober events. As UQ, they successfully advocated for Halifax Pride to set up a sober tent during the evening events at the 2022 Pride festival!

In her free time, I enjoy playing basketball, swimming and have recently taken up karate (she’s a brown belt now)! As well, I founded Queer Arabs of Halifax in 2015 and have since found my chosen family and community.
