Elliot Dewhirst

Elliot Dewhirst is the manager of End of the Rainbow Foundation, based in Moh'kinsstis (Calgary), providing support to LGBTQ+ Refugees, including inland claimants as well as through a Private Sponsorship Program.  End of the Rainbow also provides peer programming to both LGBTQ+ newcomers, as well as the broader local 2SLGBTQI+ community, and educational workshops.  Elliot holds a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature, and has facilitated Trans Peer support for 10 years.  Elliot is also regularly involved in Community Based Participatory Research initiatives, working groups, and stakeholder consultations, at the municipal, provincial and national levels, in areas related to Disability, Sexual Health, LGBTQI+ Migration and Gender-Based Violence.
