Sara is a graduate of Psychology and Nutrition and Families at Brescia University College. Following a career in medical office administration, she pursued a career in the public school system as an administrative assistant, where she worked for the last 15 years. During this time, she also enjoyed training and mentoring new hires, and working with diverse populations. She decided to go back to university as a mature student and completed an Honours Double Major.

After having Dr. Hawa as a professor, she had the opportunity to work with her as a Research Coordinator on the YSMENA study. She learned so much about various research methods, and the barriers that vulnerable and equity-deserving populations face. With this, she looks forward to many new opportunities in the future.
