Research Assistant (2021 - 2022)

Samantha is a second year transfer student in the Nutrition and Dietetics program at Brescia University College coming from Nipissing University's BSc in Biology program.  During her first year at Nipissing, Samantha developed a passion for the world of research and its many implications. Samantha is also an advocate for mental health as she volunteered her time at an LGBTQIA+ safe space and as a responder on a crisis text line. Through Brescia UC's work study program, Samantha is grateful for the opportunity to work with Dr. Hawa for such a meaningful study as a research assistant where she has been able to help in the development of research manuscripts as well as the launch of the YSMENA website.
